Stellar cast and an absolutely wonderful movie;For a british movie, i was suprised that it was not a very chatty or not a very long movie(92 min.)which makes it great for families to watch.
The movie sort of reminded me of Bridge to Terabithia (2007);This would be the grown-up adult like version of b.to terrabithia with romance in victorian times at England.Miss Potter though, is much better acted,and a more moving flick.I like how Norman introduced her love for beatrix and beatrix did not take long to give him her reply.I like how the movie did not go on forever about a guy or girls romantic feeling for someone and did not find an answer or have an answer at the conclusion part of the movie like a lot of english romantic movies.Disappointed though with the unexpected parting of Norman.The movie did not explain much about norman sickness and death;Very similar death feeling to b.to terabithia,quick and unexpected.The tragedy of Normans death and what happened afterwards is more moving and better acted than the tragedy of leslies death in b.of terrabithia.
Liked the wiity script/lines of miss potter especially beatrix and millies lines.A very inspiring movie especially for women.A great look/insight of the woman behind the peter rabbit books;the special features of the dvd goes even more in depth of the history of beatix potter and the making of the movie from different perspectives;educationial,informative,and interesting.Great cinematography(landscapes,etc..),interesting animation,wonderfully romantic,a bit tragic ,and an inspirational flick that is family friendly(due to no violence,hardly no bad language and no graphic nudity or no sexual connations,just good old fashioned simple romance like back in the classic days of cinema).HIGHLY RECOMMENDED;One of the best movies i rented this year and definitely the best romantic and inspirational flicks(current release rentals) i have seen lately
