Green is a good general healing color because it stimulates growth therefore it is good for helping heal broken bones.

Sometimes disgustingly violent, frequently plain violent, with some annoying caricature characters and serious overuse of the f-word... Those are not things I enjoy much. In fact, I don´t enjoy them at all. And I don´t enjoy Scorsese´s films in general.
All that said, I did enjoy this film. Twice. Except that the second time, the ending was way worse. Without it, this would be a much weaker movie, but it still just kills me... Which I think illustrates what it is that wins me over here. The emotion and the gripping storytelling, even some of the acting… Okay fine, I completely fell for DiCaprio´s Costigan character.
Bottom line, it´s a strong and affective film. Essentially dark with a bleak view of the world, but in the end it redeems itself. Impressive.
