Stick-it...
when i first saw the previews for this movie, it was advertised as "from the directors/producers/makers??? of
bring it on" (i don't remember). i was thrilled with this, since i have so many wonderful memories of watching the ridiculous and yet somewhat funny bring it on. although i never saw any of the later bring it on sequels -
bring it on again or
bring it on: all or nothing, i will forever remember sitting in tara's bedroom watching this cheerleading movie about silly high school boys and girls again, and again, and again... you get the idea. it still brings a smile to my face.
but anyways, my point. i was curious about this new movie. i had high hopes that it would hold the similar dizzy, girly stupidity that bring it on consisted of. but when i got to the theater and watched the movie, i was pleasantly surprised. stick it is about not compromising. it's about not settling for less. it's about being a strong human being. way deeper and more inspirational than the flighty girls of bring it on.
all seriousness aside, i am not a big fan of gymnastics, but i was genuinely impressed with what these girls could do with their bodies!
