Funny, smart... For an animation it really makes you think. It was a lot deeper then I would have thought.

I found much humor in the portrayal of human kind (mostly Americans). I'm not the type that really gets into philosophical discussions about movies. So, being the code geek that I am, I thought I would make a little dictionary for my ratings.

Rating [Fail]: ~ do not pass Go, do not collect $200 ~
This movie was a total waste of my time. The only entertainment I gleaned from this movie was the relief that it ended.

Rating [Meh]: ~ neutral (sounds like a mix between a grunt and a sigh) ~
This movie was ok. Nothing really grabbed my imagination or moved me in any way. There were a few corny lines and some bad acting, and the story line was a little “blah”.

If I knew then what I know now, I probably wouldn’t have paid the money to see this movie in the theater. I’m not quite sure if I would spend energy to add it to my Nexflix queue. I would watch it if it came on HBO and there was nothing else good on.

Rating [Good time sink]: ~ worth the time spent watching it ~
This is a great one for a Neflix queue or night out at the movies. You might talk about this around the water cooler… might.

Rating [Giggidy]: ~ /dance ~
This movie was freekin’ sweet! There were parts that made the hair on my neck stand up. I drove home breaking all laws because I still felt like I was part of the movie and wanted my car to take off in the air. I can’t wait/hope there’s a sequel coming.

My desktop background changed because of this movie. I talked about it for several days after seeing it. I will probably see it in the theater at least one more time before it goes to DVD.
Plot good, CGI not-so-goodhttp://www.spout.com/blogs/kizmar/archive/2008/6/20/31477.aspxSat, 21 Jun 2008 00:29:54 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:31477kizmar0http://www.spout.com/blogs/kizmar/comments/31477.aspxhttp://www.spout.com/blogs/kizmar/commentrss.aspx?PostID=31477
Overall, the movie was great. The action scenes were exciting and the story line was good.

There were a few scenes that were a little iffy as far as the CGI (special effects). This wasn't enough to ruin the movie though.

I would go so far as to say I'd watch it a second time in theaters. I will most likely own this. It by no means is as good as Iron Man (2008), but that's to be expected. :)
Highly Dissapointed, as Expectedhttp://www.spout.com/blogs/kizmar/archive/2008/6/20/31476.aspxSat, 21 Jun 2008 00:22:37 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:31476kizmar0http://www.spout.com/blogs/kizmar/comments/31476.aspxhttp://www.spout.com/blogs/kizmar/commentrss.aspx?PostID=31476
After his last few films, I'm not sure why I expected The Happening to be any different. It was a huge pile of crap. Great mystery with a huge let down at the end.

On top of his normal pile of crap ending: the lines were corney, and the acting was horrible.

I can't even warrent writing more about this movie as I've already wasted enough of my life on it by watching it.
Very nice...http://www.spout.com/blogs/kizmar/archive/2008/5/5/28186.aspxMon, 05 May 2008 14:34:22 GMTcdd0f780-13db-4d93-b0f4-ada579d02ae7:28186kizmar0http://www.spout.com/blogs/kizmar/comments/28186.aspxhttp://www.spout.com/blogs/kizmar/commentrss.aspx?PostID=28186
I haven't looked forward to a movie coming out this much since The Matrix 2 was coming to theaters.

I was pleasantly surprised by Iron Man and how well they told the story to someone that knew nothing about the comic book (me).

I thought it was better then SpiderMan... better then any of the super hero/comic book movies I've seen so far actually. I would put it on par with Transformers - I loved that movie as well.

Like all movies that will become the beginning of a series, there was a lot of story telling in this one - making room for more action in sequals. Speaking of that, make sure you stay through the end of the credits... ;)
