I will generally rate movies the same based on how well I liked them. I'm not the type that really gets into philosophical discussions about movies. So, being the code geek that I am, I thought I would make a little dictionary for my ratings.
Rating [Fail]: ~ do not pass Go, do not collect $200 ~
This movie was a total waste of my time. The only entertainment I gleaned from this movie was the relief that it ended.
Rating [Meh]: ~ neutral (sounds like a mix between a grunt and a sigh) ~
This movie was ok. Nothing really grabbed my imagination or moved me in any way. There were a few corny lines and some bad acting, and the story line was a little “blah”.
If I knew then what I know now, I probably wouldn’t have paid the money to see this movie in the theater. I’m not quite sure if I would spend energy to add it to my Nexflix queue. I would watch it if it came on HBO and there was nothing else good on.
Rating [Good time sink]: ~ worth the time spent watching it ~
This is a great one for a Neflix queue or night out at the movies. You might talk about this around the water cooler… might.
Rating [Giggidy]: ~ /dance ~
This movie was freekin’ sweet! There were parts that made the hair on my neck stand up. I drove home breaking all laws because I still felt like I was part of the movie and wanted my car to take off in the air. I can’t wait/hope there’s a sequel coming.
My desktop background changed because of this movie. I talked about it for several days after seeing it. I will probably see it in the theater at least one more time before it goes to DVD.
