  • Simpsons...

If you like the Simpson TV Show, then you will probably like the movie.  I have read many of the other reviews and agree with most.  It did seem like an extended version of the television show.   Would I watch it again?  You bet!   Looking for a "fun" movie for the weekend, this would be one...

I almost hate to admit this, but I honestly liked this movie. Lots of action, kind of fun twist along the way. Brad and Angelina do a great job. A decent story line, not bad acting, and was kind of fun.

The ending is a little extreme, but you should know that going into watching the movie. Definitely recommend renting this one.

  • I want to be in High School again!

I don't know why, but I have watched this movie about 20 times. There are some really funny parts to this and each time I watch it, I see something else. Cheerleader with terrets, the guys sister - wow.. talk about a chick that needs an intervention, football players concussion, the girl in the toilet, etc...

Ok. this may sound sexist, but it is definitely a guy movie.

  • The Kiss was good.

Martial arts movies are fun for me and this one was no exception. Lots of good fight scenes, escapes and martial arts action. Jet Li is a good martial artist and a great showman. He is easy to understand, which helps a lot. Story line was a little bazaar, but I kind of liked it in this movie. I also liked the way the movie ended. Not sure if sticking a pin in someone could do that, but accupuncture is a valid way to help people and who knows...

Good fun, good action, good rental...

  • Blood type B-

    Blood Diamond  (2006)

I like action movies, but this one just didn't do it for me. Lots of action, but I guess I was expecting more. The movie had 5 Academy Award Nominations, but I just didn't see why. It was a decent movie, just didn't live up to the hype for me. Story line was fine... It just came across to me as a lesser Indian Jones Movie. I know what to expect in those.

Decent rental, glad I did not pay full price.

  • My kind of family!

    My Cousin Vinny  (1992)

Glad I did not watch this with my mom or grandma. Hilarious! Loved it! Language is a little rough, but Joe P does a great job and Marissa is a babe and a great actress. The 2 Yutes were good too. So many funny parts - court room, negotiating the bar fight (well the build up and one slug in the street), the train, suit... Laughed out loud so many times! Highly recommend... Just don't watch it with my mom...

  • Beowulf 8, Angelina 10

    Beowulf  (2007)

Did not realize this was an animated/GC movie and I really wish I would have seen it in 3D, but saw in 2D.

Movie was good and kept my attention.  It was graphic and bloody, not a movie for kids, but there were about 10 in the theatre that had to be less than 10 years old.  Hello!!!

Best part of the movie was Angelina Jolie.  She was the hottest cartoon character I have seen, but her kids are out of control!

I am glad I saw it at the dollar movie.  For me, it was not worth full price, but is better in a theatre than on a small tv.

  • Treasure something else...

    National Treasure - 7 of 10

Good action but too far fetched, even for me. There were some very good action scenes and it did keep ones interest. The first National Treasure was ok. I just didn't really like this. It was almost like they were lacking a story line, so they pumped up the special effects to make up for it. I would expect that with a Rambo movie, but was expecting more. Would be a decent rental or dollar movie...

  • Naked is good...

    The Naked Gun  (1988)

Leslie Nielsen is one of the funniest people in the world. He does such a great job. The movie is cop spoof and is one laugh after another. It has been around for years. The movie is a carry over from the Police Squad television show and Abrams and Zucker and Zucker created one of the best movies ever. It makes the occasional appearance on the Comedy Channel, but continues to be one of the movies I pull out of the cabinet if I need a good laugh.

In fact, I am going to go watch it now..

  • Vantastic!!!!

If you like college partying, then you will probably like this movie. I found this movie hilarious. Most guys would envy being Van and being able to pull off what he does. The opening of the movie pretty much sets the tone. The hem work is truly a hoot! Without giving too much away, the tryouts to be his assistant are a classic, especially the hot chick.

    A definite rental!

  • The King is not bad!

    King Kong  (2005)

King Kong movie was.... interesting... Special effects, especially when the big ape fought the T-Rex's - incredible... The story line pretty much followed the original movie. Jack Black did a good job and the movie entertained me for the entire movie.

If you have an adversion for heights, the ending of the movie can make ya a little bit queazy.. You know the feeling you get when you are on a roller coaster and you are lifted a little bit out of your seat? Some of the slips on the top of the building gave me a similar feeling.

Not a bad flick, glad I did not pay full price in the theatre, but would rent on DVD.

  • Bourne - again... Same movie?

Really liked this movie, however... I am so confused how you can start with the first movie in this series, regain some memory, forget some of it you remembered, have flashbacks, forget it, remember it.. Wait.. What were we talking about? Just kidding.

This movie was good, but for me was very similar to the prior and I felt like I already saw the movie. There were some very good one liners in there and there as a LOT of action, but for me the story line was just too much like the others.

Paid full price and I am slightly bitter. Would recommend as a DVD.

  • Love the Evolution!

If you like vampire and werewolf movies, this is one of the sequel to Underworld... A continuation of the love story between a vampire and a werewolf. Is it really about the love story or do we just like watching these two worlds collide - The special effects were again top notch. For a "second" film, it is really good. Like many of these, I did like the first one the best, but still give this one 10 out of 10.- mainly because I love special effects. It is not about the gore kind, just the transformation, blowing things up, - uh.. maybe a little gore.. hahaha...

  • Underworld - Bite Me!

    Underworld  (2003)

If you like vampire and werewolf movies, this is one of the best I have seen. Kate Beckinsale is absolutely one of the most stunning vampires I have ever seen. Great special effects, definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and, although I would never admit it, I did jump a few times.

It is kind of like a werewolf and vampire Romeo and Juliette movie. Except now they bite. Excellent movie. Wish I could have seen this in the movie theatre.

What's that? Underworld Evolution - the sequel? Hmmmm....

  • Stir it Up!!!

    Stir Crazy  (1980)

This is one of the "classic movies" I will always love. Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor are two of the true comic legends. There are so many funny parts about this movie. The prison, them dressed up as wood peckers, it is just one things after another.

You have to be in a crazy mood to fully appreciate this movie. If you go in and have lots on your mind, then you might want to wait to watch it.

A definte DVD watch! At least once a year.
