    The Beyond  (1981)

This is by far my favorite Italian Horror film by my alltime favorite italian horror director, the master Lucio Fulci.  From the opening scene in the hotel with the eerie music and the flaying and entombment of the painter, tis movies moves at a frenetic pace and never lets up until the credits roll, and it has some of the greatest gore moments I have ever seen, such as the girl getting a hole blasted through her head and the spider tongue ripping scene.  This is not a movie for weak constitutions.  But if you like extreme horror films I would definitely check it out.

    Re-Animator  (1985)

One of the greates horror films to come out of the 80's Re-animator is a sick, twisted and gory grand guigonol film.  Withe the opening music that riffs off of hermann's psycho theme it has you hooked until the final scene.  My favorite bit is still when dr Hill gives new meaning to giving head, and the intestine choling scene, this is a film for people with a sick sense of humor,  so that has to be why i love this film.

    Phantasm  (1979)

It is hard to believe no one has reviewed this classic yet, this is one of the alltime greatest horror films, with a great villai, soundtrack and atomsphere.  Like alot of great horror films it doenst make much sense, but neither did carnival of souls and that is another classic.  Sometimes you just wnat to be taken on a ride to place you will never go and this movie takes you there.  I still get goosebumps when The Tall amn yells, "BOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!"  And the scene where he is standing over tommy's bed is one of the great scenes in horror for me.  Any fan of horror should see it if they havent already.

    Grindhouse  (2007)

Grindhouse was without a doubt one of the greatest moviegoing experiences I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying.  After I sat through the 3 hours and 11 minutes of mindblowing cinmea I wanted to sit thorugh it again.  It began with a bang with Machete, which needs to be a film yesterday, just for the line "they f***ed with the wrong mexican!"  We then go into Planet Terrow wich was a weird combination of a Carpenter flick and a fulci zombie film and it clicked together automatically, and If I didnt love Rose Mcgowan before, I do now.  Now the trailers they were all great but the one that was really insane was Roth's Thanksgiving trailer, I will never see a turkey being stuffed in the same way again.  Finally we get to death proof, which I F-ing loved it had 2 great things going for it Kurt Russell giving his best performance since Jack Burton a,d the mesmerizing Aoe Bell, this film was classic Tarantino and I loved every minute of it from the lead in to Stuntman Mike's intro to the adrenaline fueled ending it was a blast.

All in all, this is why I go to the movies to see something so awesome you just shake your head in disbelief that you just saw that.  Definitely my favorite film so far this year.
