Rosario Dawson gives an Oscar worthy performance as Maya, a very studious college student who becomes a victim of rape by a seemingly charming yet very creepy young man.
Maya's life changes drastically after that traumatic experience ;so she begins to live a life unbecoming to her. She starts night clubing, taking drugs, and sleeping around, until she meets a certain someone who promises her that HE will be her savior. What does that mean?
Unbeknowgst to us as an audience, Maya was plotting revenge against her attacker all this time. Will she use her "savior" to do this deed.? For those of you who haven't seen this film, will she be saved? Or did she just stooped to her rapist's level?
