    Grumpy Old Men  (1993)

I really liked this movie.  First of all, it is hard not to like the combination of  Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. Then, throw in Ann-Margret, and Burgess Meredith and bam, you got one funny comedy, very nicely put together by director Donald Petrie.

    Channels  (2007)

What a neat movie.  I was immediately pulled into this story from the opening narration.

All of the actors bring tremendous talent to this film.

Nat Christian is a very natural actor, delivering a restrained performance.  I felt like I knew this guy from walking down the street.  He kind of reminded me of the ease in which Jack Lemmon would portray his roles.  I never sensed that he was "acting."

Kim Oja is wonderful as the female lead, "Katherine."  She has a very sweet quality too.

Ed Asner, John Kassir, Taylor Negron and Joan Van Ark all bring exceptional talents to supporting roles.

Nat Christian also wrote and directed this lovely movie about a man (Christian) who relies on his logic too much and may lose the love of his life (Oja).

The direction is smart, visionary and compelling.  More movies like this- please!

The look by Dolores Piazza and Michael Hardwick, and VFX by Duane Condor are very sweet.

    The score is fabulous.

I hope to see more of this whole gang.

This movie rock and rolls.  George Lucas has captured a time and place and everything is so specific.  There isn't a false moment in this.

    The music is fantastic.

The acting by Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Paul Lemat, Candy Clark, Charles Martin Smith and Cindy WIlliams is is very good.  And Harrison Ford!  There he is!  He's great in this.

    I really like this one.

    Rear Window  (1954)

    Alfred Hitchcock does it again.

Rear Window is so well done that there isn't a moment where my attention was lost.  Obviously due to Mr. Hitchcock's direction.  And also to the superb performances by James Stewart and Grae Kelly.

Raymond Burr, Thelma Ritter and Wendell Corey are also excellent.

I would like to see more movies on a "small" scale like this that keeps our interest.
