Seriously Disturbed aka Great Movie

Under discussion:

Tideland  (2005)
This is not for your average movie-goer, which anyone who has seen the directors other works probably knows already. I hope you'll give it a try. Terry Gilliam really one-upped himself with this one. I am also a fan of his other work Brazil, Fear and Loathing, 12 Monkeys, but this movie tops them all. The cinematography is the best i've seen in recent years, A lot of it is shot at a child's perspective which adds to the eerie and other-worldly atmosphere of the movie. From the first scene you get the feeling that things will only get worse for the movie's little main character. Throughout the movie you (along with the main character) will go through long periods of being submersed in insanity, only to be shocked to the surface with brief moments of sharp clarity.  Once the movie is complete and the credits start rolling you've still got a good 20-30 minutes to try to sort out the odd spectacle you've just witnessed,
