World's Greatest Dad (2009)

I admit the film redeemed itself in the last half, though I was still so shocked by the raunchy behavior of the son early in the film that I was unable to get over it.

While I don't necessarily recommend this film, I feel Goldthwait did a great job confusing our emotions and taking us on a dark journey to explore the true inner soul of most. Robin Williams is fabulous in this film as all others.

Pulling John (2009)

Why would one ever choose to see a film about arm wrestling? Normally, none, though I invite you to check out this one. You will L*O*V*E it! Highlighting the careers of three dedicated men, you learn what is in their hearts and you begin to root for your favorite.

Beautifully shot and edited to keep the energy and emotion high; you'll find yourself screaming outloud for John and Voevoda!

Against the Current (2008)

Peter Callahan did an amazing job connecting me to the main character and tugging on my heart strings as I could relate to the pain of his broken heart.

I'm a long distance swimmer too and found this film fun to watch in that regard.

The Baker..

IF this listing is for the independent film, The Baker, also screened at the Waterfront Film Festival, 2009, then I highly recommend finding this film. It's funny, quirky, and very Ned Divine.

The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) How did I miss this gem of a corporate slam back in the mid 90's? Certainly then I wasn't entrenched in corporate culture. It's sweet and funny. Granted it could move a little quicker, but I wonder if back in the 90s we weren't multi-tasking so much and now expect so more from our films to keep us engaged. Of course, I watched this while sewing and piecing together various fabrics for my designs.

Clockwatchers (1998)

Clockwatchers is a fun little shot at corporate America but drones on and on in the boring lives of four clueless temporary workers. Screenwriting attempts to pull you into each of the women's lives but doesn't go far enough to be funny or to make you care about them. While many of the little jokes can make one laugh if you've worked in a corporate setting, this movie would have been better suited as a short film.
