While I thought the dialogue in this film was expertly written, the film's ending left a little to be desired, but I liked it's film noir inspired look and the way the characters slowly open themselves up throughout the movie. I'm curious as to how much of this film is fictional, because I was under the assumption that the Black Dahlia murder was unsolved. In any case, if you're a fan of Robert De Niro or Robert Duvall, definitely give this one a look - they're both excellent in this film.
