Piggy! No!
Although I've never seen it, I hear the original 1963 version of William Golding's novel is the superior film, but having seen this 1990 remake as a young boy, this version managed to terrify me at a young age. The acting is slightly wooden and some of the more important aspects of the book have been deleted for time constraints, but it's the first version I saw, so I can't totally hate it.
