The Start Of A Beautiful Friendship
The beginning of the seven-part series of films, this one sticks most closely to the book, and is a blast to watch. It's the happiest of the films, so anyone wanting a dark fantasy tale is out of luck - this one is aimed mostly at young teens...but that doesn't mean that fans of the series will be disappointed..there's laughs and adventure throughout. I enjoyed it quite a bit and I expect I'll be back for more.

I'm just about to start re-watching this series. I liked them the first time, but friends say they improve with future viewings.
