Best Fantasy Film Ever, Man!
Ah, yes. January of 2002...one random Wednesday night. I decided to go see this film after working all day. No one in the theater. Good! It'll be me and the film, no distractions of any kind. I had no idea what I was in for. This film blew me away. I couldn't believe I had to wait a year to see more! Still my favorite and the best of the trilogy, I do believe this is going to be included on the 10th Anniversary of AFI's 100 Greatest American Films list, and it deserves to be there. No other fantasy film lives up to it, and with good reason - the book it is based on pretty much defined the genre! If you haven't seen it, please do yourself a favor and remove yourself from under the rock you reside to SEE THIS MOVIE! Two requests - see it in widescreen and see it on a kick-ass TV - you won't be disappointed.
