it is a film about death and dying. it is a film about grief for that which is fading away. it is grand and vast and magical. the first time i saw this film i left the theatre with my wife, speechless. i was completely unable to form words without feeling as though i was going to fall apart. after an hour or so i was able to reflect on what we had seen. incredible. wonderful. a quirky masterpiece.

waitress is a charming film. waitress is funny and frightening and beautiful. waitress IS Adrienne Shelly last film. waitress can not be seen as anything else than the last film from a gifted actress/director whoes life was ended too soon. Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion are simply wonderful together. but it is at the end of the film that Shelly makes her statement and her goodbyes. waitress is a joy to behold, at least in a small mirical sort of way.

very well acted. intense. beautiful. very sad. if you are in the mood for tears then this is a wonderful place to start.
