So-so.
I don't know about you guys but I gave up on Will Smith a long time ago. Anywho, the movie was fine enough and I'll never take away the fact that the happy ending, made sweeter by Smith's heart-warming disbelief, was one of the best I'd seen in a while, but is it just me, or was Chris Gardner's life just not THAT hard?
Man. What a run-on.
Anyway, I guess I've been a bit desensitized (it's all that torture-watching I see on 24) but spending a night or two in a subway bathroom just isn't that difficult. Okay, so you had to spend a few nights at a shelter. You still had nice clothes, you still had food, and you actually still had your kid in daycare. Either way, as a film, it was fine enough. A bit bland. No bite. And Jaden does wonders as a child actor who doesn't kill you with kindness. As a whole, Pursuit is a great time-killer.

I kind of wanted to see this (well, not really, just a vague sense of interest), but..uh...yeah, I'm sure I'll catch bits and pieces on cable. Um, yeah, you have a point there - I never understood the shit about "we're homeless and struggling...but my kid's in daycare". I mean, that's good, but I always expected, like, "Yeah, we're homeless, and my 6-year-old is the lookout while I..." uh...oh yeah, there's censorship on this site, right? Never mind.
Oh yeah, the kid is cute. Like, Gap model cute. Oh Jesus, did I just say that?
