My wife picked this out on our visit to the library this afternoon. Wasn't expecting much, hadn't heard anything about this one (was it ever released to theaters?), but I was pleasantly surprised. Robert Redford gives a fine performance (much more believable these days as a crusty old timer, than as a romantic lead, sorry to say Bob), and Jennifer Lopez wasn't nearly so bad either. Morgan Freeman plays his usual 'wise old black man' role which he has honed to perfection in movie after movie. The plot is fairly straightforward and predictable (although we were dead certain that the bear would end up eating the abusive boyfriend - perhaps a bit harsh in retrospect) . . . anyway, there are some nice effective scenes throughout, and some things hit close enough to home to bring an occasional tear to the eye. Good family dynamics drama with a satisfactory ending, decent acting, some laughs and a bit of suspense here and there.
