Saw this one early last year. Was curious to see the 'actual teacher' behind the well known Jack Black comedy "
School of Rock". Much more interesting. The teacher comes across as a mix of humanitarian big brother and megalomaniac frustrated washed out rock star. But the kids are the real stars of this show: from the two little 8 year olds and their performance of 'Iron Man' , which will have you rolling on the floor, to the depressive dropout who adds a dose of sad reality to the 'rock school pie-in-the-sky fantasy' who will likely have you in tears, and then to cap it all off, a triumphant concert in Germany at a 'Zappa festival' where the stars of the graduating class rub shoulders with their heroes. Inspiring, but without the hollywood schmaltz of the feature.
