  • Thought the screaming was all in my head.

This was almost as bad as "Sick Girl" . You could see the ending coming a mile away, and even with the addition of melted icecream guts, this was nothing other than an "IT" rip off. Retarded clowns are scary enough, but when they die I hardly think they come back with supernatural powers and their icecream truck to boot. I'm almost going to give up on MOH as whole since the only one really worth a damn was "Imprint". I think I'll go back to watching "Tales from the Darkside" on SciFi. At least those were cheesy because they had small budgets and it was 1980's "horror" on syndicated television.

I really wanted this to be the best MOH so far. I was all set for a serious mind f***k by my favorite author, Clive Barker and with Tony Todd as the villian, how could you go wrong? I should have known better than for Barker's words to translate well onto film, and I thought that Todd's finger tips were going to fall off from bad spirit gum application. Boo. Hiss. Not at all what I had anticipated from the trailer. Neat idea and story overall, but not a good translation overall.

    Vacancy  (2007)

Well, there's 90 minutes I'll never get back. I've sat through some really horrible movies before, but I knew they were either intentionally bad, or were obvious B movies from the start. This one really fooled me into thinking that something worthwhile was going to happen any minute, but lo and behold, no. What do you expect from someone named Nimrod, right? It had a good premise, but really had nowhere to go with it after the first 20 minutes. I was really looking forward to Luke and Kate getting snuffed.

    Ravenous  (1999)

Loved it, loved it, loved it! Good acting, captivating story, and (my favorite) comic relief. Well done and even had a good ending which is hard to find anymore. I watch it whenever I get a chance and I even added it to my personal collection for Xmas last year. A good one to pass on to friends who haven't had the pleasure yet.

  • Was I supposed to laugh this much?

    American Psycho  (2000)

I just watched "American Psycho" for the third time last night and really felt that I was laughing a little too much. Maybe it was just late in the evening and I was a bit punchy, but this movie cracked me up. Bale's character was so evil and nasty, and just outright loopy. It made for an interesting depiction of 80's ugliness. I seem to like this film more each time I see it.

I loved this film! I usually dislike musicals that are on film, but I didn't pigeonhole this one as a musical, so much as a sing-a-long. John Cameron Mitchell did a fantastic job both musically and acting. I fell in love with the character (and his make-up applying abilities) right from the start. I was a bit confounded by his bandmate who appeared to be male, but sang and looked like a chick with a five o'clock shadow, but that just lent to the quirkiness of the whole film. The soundtrack is brilliant and I watch this film at least once every couple of months or so. Hilariously heartbreaking from beginning to end.
