Leatherheads has the feel of a 30s and 40s screwball comedy, which I love. George Clooney fits right in there and Renee Zellweger does a great performance.

Cape fear

Scorseses directing choices (even the over the top ones) make this movie pretty unique. Robert De Niro is very convincing and scary as the revenge thirsty ex-con. Also Juliette Lewis fills the screen with her charisma.

Get Shorty

Brief Encounter

The Lost Weekend

I´m still in shock of how great this film was. Definitely one of the best movies of 2008. A true gem to the horror genre. I loved the script, it was cast perfectly and Pascal Laugier just became one the most interesting film makers of today.

Star Trek

It has been a while since an action movie was this entertaining. I havent felt this exited since Spider-Man 1 & 2. The casting was just perfect, although I had my doubts about it at first. I have nothing but good things to say about the visuals. I even loved the lens flares! JJ Abrams managed to do an almost perfect action scifi movie. Only thing that could have made it even better would have been a theme of some kind.

Mammoth

I absolutely loved this film. It offers a very sad view of the world, but at least it feels honest, genuine and real. Great cast led by Gael García Bernal and Michelle Williams.
