I don't have any problem with some of Jim Carrey's dramatic work ( Spotless MInd; Man In The Moon... very entertaining ) but I'm left a bit clueless to this choice of script. I really hate thrillers that seem to have all the ingredients to get you engaged in the story and then with the stroke of a bland twist leave you wishing you didn't fall head-first into the story at all. This is one of those films. Not to mention you can never watch it again after that darn twist!
The idea of finding numbers in major events and environments is a good plot device and it more than easily carries this film thru the midway mark. But alast the film sucumbs to a cliche plot twist near the finish line and your left feeling like you began watching a hollywood sleeper hit and ended watching a Lifetime movie of the week.
You know....
I'd have preferred if JIm, Jeff (Goldblum) and Damon (Wayans) did a sequel to "Earth Girls are Easy!"
You know...
That wasn't witty...scratch that last paragraph. I simply just thought the movie was disappointing.
