It's horror films like this unforgetable classic, by one of my favourite directors, that proves the point that originals rule, remakes drule. Honestly, why are they remaking classic horror films? You wouldn't believe what's being remade! Halloween, Evil Dead, Hellraiser, Scanners, and even The Exorcist! The last original horror I saw was Hostel. Why can't anyone think of original ideas?
Anyway, back to the movie. This is probably the only horror film that made me jump! What made me jump was when one of the spirits grabbed the old lady. Mind you in Salem's Lot (1979), when that vampire got the guy in the prison cell, I didn't expect it would happen straight away. I think that's what made me jump! The ending of the movie really haunted me, just like the musical score. It made me think what was gonna happen next?
