I am not a reader of the comic that the film is based on but I have to say that I was blown away by this movie. The theme is timeless and the characters are larger than life. Alex Proyas creates a beautiful and enchanting world and the action is in your face and provacitive. People may no this film from the untimely death of its star son of marshall artist Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee is haunting as the main hero of the piece and like Heath Ledger in this years Dark Knight the tragedy surrounding his death is imminent throughout the piece. I definitley consider this film to be a classic genre transcending action picture and think that it is definitley worth a watch.
