A truly great classic Godzilla film!

The story, acting (including a well done english dub), spectacular effects by fx wizard Eiji Tsuburaya, a great score by music maestro Akira Ifukube and directing by Honda all make this one of the greatest big G films of all-time, period!

The story begins when a mysterious object appears in Japan's coastal waters. It's Mothra's egg washed ashore by a recent typhoon which has flooded a local construction project and the beach area surrounding it. The egg is claimed by Happy Enterprises run by the greedy and unscrupulous Kumayama who works for the even greedier and very wealthy entreprenuer, Torahata. When the Shobijin (Mothra's tiny twin priestesses) come to reclaim the egg they are rudely refused by the two business men, who plan to exhibit it along with the Shobijin.

Unknown by the locals, the same storm that brought the egg has buried a more deadly secret beneath Karada beach. Godzilla's sleep is disturbed by renewed construction activity, and he rises from the sands in which he was buried by the same typhoon that brought Mothra's egg to begin a new rampage. Destroying an industrial town and the city of Nagoya in his rampage across Japan. Not even the combined forces of the J.A.S.D.F. and the U.S. Navy can stop this radioactive terror. Japan's only hope is Mothra! But will she help after the Shobijin were treated so poorly and her egg not rightfully returned? And can she even defeat the king of the monsters?

Find out by watching this thrilling and well made Japanese classic! It's a sure bet for most classic sci-fi/horror monster film fans.

This kaiju classic was also released under the titles Godzilla vs. The Thing and Mosura tai Gojira.
