Was There Really a Carter Simms?
This was a movie about a skeptical ghost hunter that was offered $5,000 to investigate a home for paranormal activity. She also had a cameraman and a journalist and a crazy religous nutcase in the house with her. You know in the beginning of the movie that she is going to die (so there are no spoilers here).
If you enjoy Ghost Hunters, etc. you will like this movie. It actually had a few really good goosebump moments to it. I really liked it. The question is, is it based on a semi-true story? I don't think it is, I think its a lot like the Blair Witch Project (although no shakey cameras to make you sick), but some of the credits make you think it is real because it says that her footage is some of the best paranormal footage ever recorded and that the Masterson house is on the top 10 list of the most haunted homes in America. I came across a site that people were discussing this issue. Most people thought it was made up, but a few said it was really based on an actual person that died during an investigation. Having done a little ghost hunting myself I think it would be easy to die during an investigation because it's completely dark and you can easily fall and break your neck. But I did some searching for it on the internet and could not find any stories, if there was something where someone died a mysterious death??? It would be in a million news reports. Anyway, it was a pretty good movie and I recommend it.

HI,
I THINK THE MOVIE "DEATH OF A GHOST HUNTER". IS BASED ON THE TRUE STORY OF A PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR IN THE 1970'S WHO WENT TO RID AN EVIL SPIRIT, SOME LORD OR SOMEONE TO THAT EFFECT. HE WENT ALONG WITH A LOCAL REPORTER (FEMALE) ON THE DAY. HE ATTEMPTED THE EXCORCISM, BUT COULD NOT FINISH IT, AS HE FELT ILL AND HAD TO LEAVE. ONCE OUTSIDE THE AREA, HE STATED TO THE REPORTER "THIS WILL KILL ME". APPARENTLY ONE WEEK OR SO LATER OR MAYBE EVEN LESS, I CANNOT REMEMBER, HE DIED.
THIS WAS ON ENGLAND'S "MOST HAUNTED" THAT I WATCHED A LONG TIME AGO, SO I CANNOT REMEMBER THE STORY IN ITS ENTIRETY.
GO TO THIS SITE http://www.hollowhill.com/ghosthuntingtours/ghosttours-uk.htm THIS IS THE HAUNTED PLACE. IT IS THE MOST HAUNTED PLACE IN ENGLAND. THEY HAVE TOURS AND PEOPLE - I THINK IT HAS BEEN 75 OR CLOSE TO 100 HAVE FAINTED DURING THE TOURS. BUT HEY, IF YOU WORK YOUR SELF UP ENOUGH INTO A FRIGHTFUL FRENZY, THEN I AM SURE YOU ADRENALINE IS SYSTEMIC AND YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE VERY HIGH AND HENCE ONE BECOMES LIGHT HEADED? EITHER THAT, OR THE TOUR IS SO BORING AND YOUR LEFT STANDING FAR TOO LONG THAT YOUR BLOOD POOLS TO YOUR FEET AND DOES NOT REACH YOUR VITAL ORGANS (ONE BEING BRAIN) AND YOU FAINT (VASAL VAGUS SYNCOPY) I THINK IT IS CALLED?
ANYWAY, I HOPE THAT HELPS.
