Silent Hill (2006)

I know this movie got some bad reviews but I kind of liked it. I thought the ending was kind of cool but most of my friends thought it was stupid. It had some really spooky images (I have to say that the zombie sexy nurses was quite amuzing). Anyway, it was very interesting and was worth watching.

The Woods (2006)

This movie overall wasn't that great, I thought the ending was very stupid. BUT it had some very good scenes in it. There were a few times that I jumped and got a few goosebumps. The cast was really good and I think they really could have done a lot more with this film. It was also hard for me to watch Bruce Campbell as a father and with no comedy schtick. But I think he is great in ANYTHING he does.

Anyway, it's like I said, it had a few really good spooky parts but it was just okay. It's entertaining at least.

Another Movie that Has It All

Highlander (1986)

Highlander is another one of those movies that has everything in it, a great love story, the past and present, excellent sword fights, a good story and plot, beautiful images - it's a movie that's a lot of fun to watch. Sean Connery gives this movie a lot of class. I don't think that Christopher Lambert is one of the best actors around but he is pretty cute and looks great in a kilt. I really enjoyed it when they kept going to the past and showing how he first came to be "immortal" - the evil immortal is evil to the extreme. It was a great fantasy movie and a fun watch...

Lord of the Flies (1963)

This was an excellent movie but the subject matter was a little disturbing for me. It shows how easy it is for the savage animal to take over inside of "man" no matter what age. I loved Piggy and it just broke my heart what happened to him. Anyway, it's a great movie but it will be a while before I watch it again because it was so sad for me.

One of Mel Gibson's best movies

Braveheart (1995)

This has to be one of my favorite movies. It has everything - suspense, great fight scenes (very realistic), a tragic love story, a great ending (even though it's sad) but the whole movie is wonderful. This is one of those movies that is fun to curl up and watch on a rainy afternoon with a little haggis...well, maybe not haggis but it is worth watching!!
