Sometimes people don't know what kind of strength they have until they are put to the test. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost definately fit that bill in Shaun of the Dead. The movie starts out as you see poor Shaun in his boring dreadful life, he has a very low scale job, he's a terrible procrastinator and his only idea of fun if going to the Pub, which his girlfriend Kate Ashfield, is totally fed up with (I think she saw some potential in him but as time went by, she just gave up). I LOVE the depth of each of the characters, even if they have small parts. His mother (always the optimist) is just so sweet and never wants to be a bother to anyone...I also love the scene where Shaun meets up with his old girlfriend and her family and friends (really cute).
This is the kind of film I absolutely love, it is a scary movie, a love story, a comedy, and maybe a little motivational for people who think they are losers will see what they really can accomplish if they rise to the occasion!
