    Killer Cop  (1976)

Cassinelli is Commissioner Matteo Rolandi, Killer Cop! While on a routine narcotics detail in a high-class motel, a bomb explodes killing several delegates and important politicians that were attending a summit. Seen as an act of terrorism perpetrated by rebels, the officials put Judge Arthur Kennedy on the case since he has no known political leanings. When Matteo's best friend and fellow officer gets a lead on the bomber, and is killed for it, our hero goes into Killer Cop mode… even after being told to stay off the case. Despite the warnings from officials (Not to mention the witnesses being killed one by one!) Matteo seems to stay one step ahead of everyone else, that is, until he gets too close to the truth! Corruption, assassinations, and deadly killers seem to be in every aspect of the case not to mention several plot twists, secret agendas and double agents playing both sides! This is one very cynical Italian crime thriller that should not be missed by aficionados of the genre. Luciano Ercoli's pessimistic direction, along with Stelvio Cipriani's incredible soundtrack, help create a very dark and sinister atmosphere with a powerful message about the mixing of crime, power, and politics.

Another crazy Phillipino horror movie!  For fans who know, there's plenty of action and thrills in this insane movie of good versus evil.  Lando is shot and killed by a local thug just out of prison, but when he wakes up completely healthy he discovers his uncle is dead, mysteriously shot through the heart.  Lando runs off to his uncle's island to help save the entire village from Satan himself!  It seems the local devil worshippers are kidnapping the virgins of the island looking for a new bride for their leader.  Now it's up to Lando and friends to stop them and save all the women kept naked in a deadly cage at the bottom of a cave.  The fun's just getting started!  We get people crushed by rocks complete with talking heads while the rest of the body is squished into gory pulp, demon snake children, Satan in spandex, flying cobras that get bitch slapped and tied in knots and more!  Damn entertaining and almost too nuts to justify in a plot synopsis, this is one movie that has to be seen to be believed.

  • THE LAST MATCH - Uncut & Widescreen

Directed by Fabrizio De Angelis in 1990 (not listed on Spout!)

A young girl is vacationing on a tropical island with her boyfriend when a bag of drugs is planted in her luggage. As she tries to get through the airport security dogs sniff out the narcotics and she is placed in a filthy prison run by Silva. Her dad is a football hero from the states, but that just seems to make things worse when he is trying to get people to help him free his daughter. When he has nowhere else to turn, he still has his team and his coach! Yep, they all fly down to help their buddy and they have come armed to the teeth! Machine guns, rocket launchers, grenades, helicopters, and Ernest Borgnine! The attack on the prison is amazing to watch! They all get in uniform, helmets and all, and essentially bum rush the place (grunting hut hut hut) with the coach calling the plays! Yeah, this is crazy stuff, but it sure is entertaining! Watch for the scene where a grenade is placed in a football and kicked at a helicopter! Classic! You aren’t going to want to miss this unique film!

  • THE LAST SHARK - Uncut & Widescreen

    The Last Shark  (1980)

Probably one of the all time best (and most sought after) Jaws clones from Italy! A 30-foot Great White has made a small seaside town, known as Port Harbor, its feeding grounds just before the annual Wind Surf Regatta. After the star surfer and a local fisherman disappear, Franciscus and Morrow try and put a stop to the festivities. Unfortunately, the mayor decides to go ahead providing proper measures are taken. Only this great white doesn't know when to quit and turns the Regatta into his own personal human flesh smorgasbord! When the local teens, including Franciscus' daughter and the Mayor's son, decide to kill the shark, things go awry and now it's up to Franciscus and Morrow to seek revenge! Castellari directs with a bigger than usual budget (including a reported $4 million dollar advertising budget) featuring what has got to be the largest shark prop in cinema history and another fine score from the De Angelis brothers. Antonio (Piranha II, Macabro) Corridori supplies the gruesome effects of people being gnawed in half! Pulled from screen shortly after its original U.S. theatrical release due to its obvious similarities to a certain director's "Bruce".
