Dallesandro plays Aldo, a transported New Yorker working in Naples via the cigarette smuggling trade. He takes it upon himself to steal cases of smokes and starts selling them to his boss’ clients with an extra rate under their noses, pocketing the cash. When the boss finds out he’s raising prices and skimming off the top, Aldo is worked over and his motorcycle destroyed. Aldo picks himself up and heads off to Rome to start over. On the way, he meets the beautiful Luciana who takes him in, and then he runs into an aging gangster friend that gets him a job with a new racket and boss. Unfortunately, this slimy new boss sets Aldo up to score a package of diamonds that actually turns out to be heroin belonging to Aldo’s former boss. Turning a bad situation into an opportunity, Aldo proceeds to work things in his favor by holding onto the heroin, killing the slime ball for revenge, and then garnering his own tough gang to take over the racket trade back in Naples. This is Pasquale Squitieri's Italian Crime classic!
