Here’s something a little different. This is a very moody and slowly paced French/Italian erotic horror movie in which the emphasis is very much on the erotic rather than the horrific. A young, married psychologist is introduced to an alluring woman who claims to be a 400-year-old witch. Also, she tells stories of the time Napoleon was at her house and discusses openly her ability to fly. The woman is being evaluated mentally because she shot a man in the forest claiming that he “insulted her as a woman” by slapping captain one-eye around in front of her. The doctor is instantly obsessed with his patient to the extent of alienating his beautiful and concerned wife. There are also numerous visions (that the doctor is a big part of) concerning the inquisition. A well made though surprisingly strange thriller that contains a lot of nudity and adult situations. Evil Sabbath is a very rarely seen movie.
