I very much enjoyed Dahan's direction and his choice of shots including some interesting tracking shots. This movie will not cover every detail of Piaf's life but does include quite a bit about her childhood which I favored after seeing the entire film.
This movie would seem to be a lock for the French choice for the Foreign Language film Oscar and probably has a good chance to win the whole thing next year.
