    Primer  (2004)

Primer is an accomplishment. Ignoring the fact that the budget was only 7 thousand dollars, the film is very entertaining. Primer never slows down and last a good length so that you can watch it without feeling like you're watching an epic. It really does go straight back to classic sci-fi comparable to "The Fly" and "Pi"

  • Not A Bad FIlm, It Just Lacks

Don't get me wrong, The Man Who Knew Too Much is a good film and probably 2 stars is a little harsh.

But I'm comparing this film to other Hitchcocks. The film is incredibly straight forward and was just dull. Perhaps it's because it follows the "man who's in the wrong place at the wrong time" plot that has been imitated for years, but when comparing it to similar films such as North by Northwest, it just doesn't hold up.

    Once  (2007)

The beauty of Once is the music. I can't even remember the last time I saw a film that really truely embraced music. But the beauty of Once isn't just the music, it's the characters revolving around the music. From the moment you first meet each of the character you automatically fall in love with their story. I'd recommend this film over Pirates 3 any day.

    The Fountain  (2006)

It's a real shame when a film you love comes out and the reaction you get from others is non-other than "eh." This is a film with true passion, which can be interpreted in a many ways and really takes sci-fi to the next level. I've never seen a film this deeply imagined. Even if you don't enjoy it the true achievement of The Fountain is it's astounding originality and beautiful imagery.
