This movie got a lot of buzz at the last Berlin film festival (20-minute-standing-ovation at the premiere) and I really can't help but wonder why. Of course, Marianne Faithfull does a great job as the "wanking widow", but the rest of the film is just dull. The script is ridiciously predictable. There are some decent jokes, but the film tries to be more than a comedy which makes it even worse - playing a sentimental music just everytime the audience is supposed to feel for one of the characters is just too cheap. This really ain't a good movie and does not deserve standing ovations at all. Praise Marianne Faithfull, but don't praise this film too much - there were dozens of better ones at the festival alone.
