DON'T MISS THE ASTRONAUT FARMER!

The review above really sums it up for me...but I would give it 5 stars...what an amazing movie!

The Astronaut Farmer reminds me of movies I grew up on and loved by Speilberg and Lucas in the '70s and '80s...hopeful, enchanting...and fun!

Bily Bob Thornton gives one of his best performances ever and Virginia Madsen is perfect as his wife who holds the family together while they dream this incredible dream of launching a rocket...but she's not afraid to lay down the law either. Max Thieriot plays their son...you may have seen him in Catch That Kid...he is a real star of tomorrow. The little girls in the movie are totally adorable and natural and from the credits they must be the filmmakers the Polish Bros. own daughters. What a great cast.

This is one of those gems you don't want to miss...the cinematography, acting and score are all top notch...they don't make them like this anymore!

I didn't miss it. In fact I'm going again with my little cousins. I think they'll get a kick out of the Farmer Family. It's got a feel good message about never giving up on your dreams, or your family. I thought it was great the first time and I can't wait to see the excitement on my two cousins' faces. The scenes with Billy Bob and the rocket are intense and every character is played so well. Including the donut shop owner and the dairy queen lady! The little girls who play Charles Farmer's daughters are priceless and add such an innocent element to the story. Virginia Madsen is the sweet wife of Charles who stands by her man. Max Thieriot has a great scene, a real tear jerker. There's nothing bad I could say about this wonderful family movie, so I'll just say: GO SEE IT!!
