Humanizing the Homeless Through Art

Under discussion:

I had the good fortune of catching Layton Blaylock's film at the 2008 Kansas International Film Festival and found it to be a really impressive debut documentary.

The film follows a group of homeless individuals in Austin, TX that are given the opportunity to create and sell art through a unique commmunity organization, the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless.

The film succeeds, not only in celebrating the the creativity of the subjects, but in humanizing them as well. I highly recommend catching this doc if you can find it.
