    Jackie Brown  (1997)

this movie was like a new album by a band that you've loved for years. you get high expectations because of past work but the you hear it and think, 'this is just okay.' that's what Jackie brown was like for me. but a lot of those albums that i described i would still listen to. and when i heard in the right mood, something clicked. and you think, 'wow, this really is genius.' i thought jackie brown was mediocre at best until two years later. this review might be boring, but i don't care, i just wanted to write what i thought of a movie that i now hold in a higher regard.

    Real Ghosthunters  Production Year

I know this is a show and not a movie. I know it doesn't even have a picture, but am I really the first one to look up the Real Ghostbusters. Come on! This was my favorite cartoon growing up. I still enjoy watching it.

p.s. I enjoy working with humans. Ray, stop that. Ray, I can feel it.

    Project: ALF  (2005)

I haven't this in a while but I remember it being as good as the show. I think whatever network aired this should air it again. It has to be ten times better than what they how these days.

p.s. If you guys are gonna fight, I'm gonna check out the pool.

  • absurd humor needs a come-back

This particular Muppet movie is filled with absurd humor. The kind of jokes that make you laugh, and then ask yourself why you laughed. And then answer yourself with I Don't Know. Absurd humor has been a big part of a lot of movies in the past.     i.e. Naked Gun, Hot Shots, Monty Python, Mel Brooks... But it hasn't been too easy to find lately. maybe the younger generations just don't get that humor. Or maybe that humor isn't really humorous at all everyone has just grown out of it.

p.s. My luggage got sucked out the window. Luckily my radio is frozen to my wrist.

  • inspiration: writer's block

    Barton Fink  (1991)

Maybe only the Coens could pull off having writer's block and deciding "Hey, we don't know what to write about. So, we'll wirte about a guy who doesn't know what to write about." It was just crazy enough to work and boy did it ever. This is the only move I can think of that kept me thoroughly entertained during the boring parts. And it has a lot of them, but the story is so gripping even though you feel like there really is no story. It's hard to describe. Loved it.

    p.s. "We're men, we wrestled."

    Ghostbusters  (1984)

jane's right, this is no guilty pleasure. this is a movie that i must watch at least twice a year and it's the best every time. this has been my favorite movie ever since we got our first VCR and rented this on VHS. anyone that hates this movie is either named josh nordyke, a moron, or both.

the is the end of my review.

p.s. cross your fingers for a part three.
