If you are a member of this group, you love everything about the Super Bowl of movies, especially the movies themselves! You love to make predictions, guess at the politics, discuss and dissect who should have been nominated and who should have won...or, you're just an avid movie lover that likes to pay attention. Group Name: Movies we do not want to see - Try to convince us to see these movies!
Group Description: Want to be a member? Send me a message with a list of at least 5 movies that you do not want to see.

There are many movies that I do not want to see. I'm not sure if its right of me to decide never to see a movie without seeing it. You know...like when a kid says they hate mushrooms even though they admit never trying them. So maybe this is a good spot for people to display movies they don't think they want to see, and see if anyone can convince us to try them out.
Body: It has been several days since I saw the movie. There were two other people that watched it with me. I am still confused as to what the movie was really about. Why did the sheriff let the killer get away? What happened at the motel where the girl offered beer to Moss? Did we miss something there? Was a scene cut out because it was a long enough movie? What was the dream about? Was it of his retirement as he is getting old and he knew that he eventually is dying? Why can’t a movie be made like the old John Wayne type of western? Why do they have to have all these hidden messages that one cannot understand? What the hell was that thing that the killer was using? It was never explained or did I miss that part when I was trying to think as to what the hell happened in the previous scene. Why didn’t the Coen brothers let Moss battle it out with the killer? That would have been a better ending. I had heard it was a good movie from several co-workers as they all warned me that it makes sense and then it does not make any sense at all. Now that is what got my attention. How can a movie be like that? Well, now that I have seen it, It makes less sense that it makes sense. Now does that make sense? The ending should have been different is what I say. A funny part in the movie was when the Mother in law tells the Mexican guy, “Why thank you sir for helping me with my suitcase. It is nice to see that gentlemen still exist in this world. But, you know, you usually don't ever see a Mexican in a suit.” I will have to watch this movie more than twice to really “get it”. Frank
Body: This movie one needs to have a couple of beers before it starts. As the movie progresses then add a couple more. That is what I should have done before I started to watch the Adam Sandler character that is tormented by his sisters. Not to mention whatever is going on in his head. The only solution to the movie is like I have stated is to watch it while getting a buzz and keeping a buzz while enjoying the beer, oh and not to mention the movie. From the beginning when he is asking about the frequent flyer miles on American Airlines and getting his Healthy Choice food it just seemed as though the two companies paid for the entire production. Barry Egan is Sandler's character’s name as he somehow falls in love with Lena. She is right up there with Barry missing a few cards from the deck. Between both of them you might be able to get a full deck, but don’t quote me on that. Barry calls a phone sex line and gets the squeeze put on him for money. (I should have had a third beer by now) He then gets an idea to call them back and requests his money back. Oh boy it gets better. Phillip Seymour Hoffman, makes the movie worth watching. Dean is his character’s name. He sends some of his hoodlums to take care of Barry. He gets pinched for some money then the movie turns sappy by him going off to Hawaii where he meets up with Lena. Barry then gets this testosterone filled persona and takes on the phone sex thugs and whips them good. He then takes on Dean as he goes to Utah and gets into a yelling match. I was waiting for the both of them to get into this knock down drag out midnight alley fight that lasted a long time. I was waiting at the end of my seat as all they did was yell. (This was the time I should have opened my fourth beer) It was a good movie that was better seen with a buzz. Would I see it again? Yes, even though I am not a drinking man I just might understand it more if I had a beer buzz going into it. Frank
Body: This is a great movie that does not have the steven spielburgs flash bang action. the movie leads you through the back scenes of Washington and the way things are really done. From a make believe war to a hero that is insane the dog waggers have an answer for everything. Dustin Hoffman's character is great, he makes things happen but he is the puppet of Conrad Brean played by Robert De Niro. The movie is one that you have to listen and watch carefully because you might miss something if you don't. The entire movie has you at your seat even till the end where something happens that I will not give out. I recommend it but remember that there is no blood and guts here. Frank
Body: Larry the Cable Guy is at it again. His classic one-liners that make you laugh are placed through out the movie. Some are side-hurting one-liners. He is the hapless, asinine and dimwitted deputy sheriff. He kidnaps a woman that he thinks is being kidnapped and in fact is being protected by the witness protection arm of the FBI. It is a movie that keeps you at your seat laughing as only Larry the Cable Guy can. As he takes the kidnappee to Chicago because the crooked FBI are not going to do the job as they are supposed to. The movie really has a plausible story line. I recommend it. Git-R-Done! Body: The Great Santini was just that, Great in the Marine Corps. However when it came to his family he was in the back seat. He needed to be a father to his children, but failed at that. It is a movie that makes a person think if they were in the service and raising a family. Was I am tough on mine as The Great Santini is to his? It made me think back to when I was raising my son and wondered if I had been to rough with him as The Great Santini.TGS is a movie that I would recommend. Frank
Body: The movie was great and well worth the wait to view it. It was intense and graphic. The hair behind your neck will rise at the scenes that were intended as such. It also gives the viewer an inside look of the kindness a man has for humanity. Yes, Neville could have left sooner with his family but he decided to stay. Then only to see his family die the way they did. I am Legend makes a person think if that could happen in the world today with all the cloning of animals that have taken place in the past years. It is a movie that I would recommend. It is a fast hard driving movie. Frank
Body: Seen it and lost interest because the things that go on in the movie are too sappy in real life Marine Corps. The story line is weak but the only reason I watch it is because of Eastwood. Portraying the USMC in the movie is on a low scale of 3. Full Metal Jacket is more realistic than this one. Body: This is what I call a guy’s movie. First you have Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland, Carrol O’Conner even Gavin MacCloud before he did that Love Boat thing. It has a bunch of oddball types of soldiers that are out for the gold that is behind enemy lines in WWII. In their quest, they come across many obstacles as a River, German camps, a minefield and a German plane. However, they get what they went for. The movie has many one-liners that are funny. Oddball played by Sutherland and says to his mechanic don’t make with the negative waves, a line I have used in my own life. It is a movie that you can enjoy repeatedly as I have. If I have the time when it plays on TV, I sit down and watch it. I highly recommend it.
Body: This it is a movie that is really about the men that were fighting a War that they didn’t want to be in, yet because it was their job, they were doing what they were told. Lt. Jake Grafton played by Brad Johnson is the lead in the movie. However, the movie is about a character that was rarely seen yet his name comes up quiet a bit. A lone round that was fired by a North Vietnamese peasant while on a no-named bombing run killed Morgan played by Christopher Rich. Grafton seeks revenge and needs help to strike back at the North Vietnamese and recruits the help of his new wingman Virgil Cole played by William Dafoe. They make this flight plan to Hanoi in their A-6 Intruder (thus the name of the movie). It goes off without a snag but they are caught. Everything turns out for the better when they are told that they will not be punished because the President has now authorized the bombing of North Vietnam to begin once again. Of course, there is the sappy love story involved with Morgan widow and Grafton. In this movie or camaraderie, wartime violence there is some comedy aboard the ship and when the officers are on leave. It is a movie that I have seen countless times and have read the book. They compliment each other. Frank
Frank </spout:body>

Body: Even though I was not a fan of Julia Roberts I headed out to see Charlie Wilson's War at my sons request to accompany him. Tom Hanks does a good job The person that grabs the viewers attention from the begining is Phillip Seymour Hoffman. He plays the CIA man that seems crude but to the point and pulls no punches when it comes to the truth. Julia Roberts made me a fan of hers on this movie. She comes across great in the role of a person that gets what she asks for and people jump to please her. I at first thought it was going to be a boring movie but 15 minutes into it I started to like it. It was a thinking movie that didn't have the Steven Spielburgs flash bang type of action. The movie is a great one that has you thinking along the lines as to why things happened and is history going to repeat itself in the present. This movie amuses as well as informs all in equal measure. Charlie Wilson's War is a movie that I would indeed recommend and go see again. Thanks to my son for insisting I go along with him.
