If you are a member of this group, you love everything about the Super Bowl of movies, especially the movies themselves! You love to make predictions, guess at the politics, discuss and dissect who should have been nominated and who should have won...or, you're just an avid movie lover that likes to pay attention. Group Name: Movies we do not want to see - Try to convince us to see these movies!
Group Description: Want to be a member? Send me a message with a list of at least 5 movies that you do not want to see.

There are many movies that I do not want to see. I'm not sure if its right of me to decide never to see a movie without seeing it. You know...like when a kid says they hate mushrooms even though they admit never trying them. So maybe this is a good spot for people to display movies they don't think they want to see, and see if anyone can convince us to try them out.
Body: Person: Mel Gibson, Greatest Work: The Patriot, Braveheart, What Women Want, Lethal Weapon Quads, Conspiracy Theory, Apocolypto, The Passion of Christ, Ransom just to name a few, Gossip: Just wondering, for all you Mel Gibson fans out there what do you propose is going through his mind these days. While I will deliberately not comment on allegations that deal with religion and race, he certainly appears worn and dethroned in recents years. He has experienced such success both in front of and behind the camera, yet he is photographed in filthy foreign dives, obviously of various levels of intoxication but he has let his appearance even in rare respectable sitings go to the point of barely recognizable. I do not attempt to understand how or if people hit early, mid or late life crises, but shouldn't he be scuttling along to vacations spots on private jets, with his large family or even a gorgeous girlfriend (if so he choses) instead of sporatically popping up at establishments likely designed for impoverished, unshowered and barely legal individuals. Some opinions have surfaced that such sitings were on research or business endeavors but where are the pictures and interviews that in the past, made even the most devout wife "swoon"? It seems he still is battling some issues given recent lingering court appearances in which he was falling asleep while the judge decides conditions of his ongoing probation for his 2006 DUI. His enemy list has apparently grown, given 2 "mentally unstable" individuals have been awarded restraining orders against him. He appeared to loose support from many high profile peers in recent years due to his much publicized allegations against him. I personally, have not noticed any hardcore celebrity friends holding fast by his side. At times I wonder how much of his manic characters refect slighly more than acting.Anyone out there have an opinion of his work such as Who Killed the Electic Car 2006, The Big Question 2006, The Singing Detective 2003, Signs 2002, Shattered 2007? These titles are strangers to me. Hopefully, his 2008 projects will prove successful, given I always wish the best for any individual famous or not. And one last thing, just to frazzle all you Braveheart fans out there. Although I have much respect for many of Mr. Gibsons projects, that movie is my ultimate namesake for undesireable movies in my database. Movies that ignite curosity, historical fiction or historical fact, passion and thrill of the moments of action or duty... rank high, however, I cannot relish in such an ending as many of you envied die hard film enthusiasts can look past or even appreciate. Yes, I fall to having to admit, I love a well rounded, loose end tying, happy ending.Cheers!
Body: Are they selling these photos or just authorizing them to all these magazines that have Suri's pics on them. I am torn on if I think if it is a right or wrong thing to do. They seem to be marketing their daughter too much. But then again, if they hide her, the paparazzi may even be worse. Maybe there is a happy medium?
Body: Lindsay seemed to behave herself for her "official" 21st birthday celebration. She chose ultra high heels, a bikini and the beach close to rehab, huh? So I will speculate she will have another sometime in the future. Yes, she seems to be holding on to her contracts. As I stated Hollywood is quite forgiving. That, and they know how marketing, the press and how to get the most $$$$ work.Where did you see Madonna? I know the pics I have seen, she seems to be trying to turn a late 40 something body into a 16 year old ish. She, if my calculations are right, turns 50 next year. I just wrote if off as hitting the gym a little excessively. In the past she has commented on keeping up with the younger ones. Just my opinion though.
Body: Person: John Stamos, Greatest Work: Best know for his character on Full House, but has a few films out there, most I have not seen and most are made for TV. He has a post production TV film A Raisin in the Sun which is based on a play (?and previous link above??) which also stars Sean "P Diddy" Combs. I saw parts of TV movie Sealed With a Kiss 1999. I don't specifically remember his performance but I do like him in these type of under the radar romance comedy roles. Gossip: Taken from E online:When it comes to his bizarre appearance on an Australian talk show last week, John Stamos wants fans to heed the words of Uncle Jesse and have mercy. The actor, who last week exhibited rather uncharacteristic behavior on the Aussie chatfest Mornings with Kerri-Anne, is now speaking out against reports that he's bound for rehab, instead blaming a combination of a sleeping pill and jet lag for his televised misconduct.During the interview, which has become a YouTube sensation, the 43-year-old small-screen vet insulted a reporter from Sydney's Daily Telegraph—who the previous day had written an article detailing Stamos' odd behavior during a separate interview—made a lewd gesture in front of the talk-show host with the help of an on-set prop, interjected and read lines from the TelePrompTer and insulted the host's outfit, all with slurred speech.Stamos, who arrived in Australia on June 21 and appeared on Mornings June 26, said in five days he still had not adjusted to the time difference. Prior to his arrival Down Under, Stamos made promotional stops in Japan, Cairo, New York, New Orleans and a personal trip to Greece, vacationing with former Full House mate Bob Saget."By the time I got to Australia, my body was so out of whack," he told TV Guide. On the day of the Telegraph interview, June 25, Stamos said he "took a sleeping pill at five in the morning, Ambien. I did not know what continent I was on."Because he was unable to sleep, Stamos said he continued taking the pills up until his appearance on Mornings with Kerri-Anne but adamantly denies that alcohol played any part in his behavior."I was not drinking," he said. "I did not drink either morning. I do not have an alcohol problem. I am not David Hasselhoff. This is not a pattern."The actor told a similar tale of disoriented woe to Us Weekly, describing the TV interview, which he himself has yet to watch, as "an hour of grogginess."He told the magazine that after taking an Ambien at 5 a.m. and waking up two hours later, he "was okay and did a few radio interviews. Then I had a break at 10 a.m. and dozed off and couldn't wake up. Security banged on the door, shook me and woke me up. Then they threw a jacket on me and put me in front of the camera."I did three or four interviews after that, and no one said a word. It was a weird, very out of character hour of my life."And no doubt the life of TV host Kerri-Anne Kennerley, who attempted to calm Stamos by talking over his rambling on more than one occasion during the interview."She won't let the guest talk," Stamos said into the camera. "I'm the guest."Of the Daily Telegraph reporter, who simply referred to the actor as "bleary-eyed, staggering and slurring," Stamos posited, "You know why he did that? 'Cause he has a small penis."He hit below the belt. He was really quite rude. There's a lot of Greeks here in Australia. Greeks, I'm asking you, don't buy this paper."Later, the host teased an upcoming craft segment, which included the use of a giant heart hat. After pulling the glass head on which it was propped, Stamos held the head in front of his groin."John, put it down," Kennerley said. "You only wish."At the end of the interview, Stamos read the host's lines off the TelePrompTer, thanking himself for appearing and promoting the next segment, about the Concert for Diana in London, as well as the upcoming memorial for the late Princess of Wales."What a great way to end an interview," Stamos said, breaking from the text. "Anyone else you want to talk about whose dead? Elvis died on a toilet. He was fat.""Was he drunk?" the host jokingly interjected.Unfazed, Stamos kept on."Let's see, who else died?" he asked, before answering his own question. "My career, after coming to Australia."A day after the appearance, and a day after the interview went viral online, Stamos' rep, Lewis Kay, issued a statement of apology, again citing the actor's hectic travel schedule."He acknowledges that his behavior was completely out of character during these interviews and apologizes."I do apologize for the long copied article above, but it was difficult to paraphrase with the same results. OUCH, slam on Hasselhoff!!! He and Rebecca Romain kept their break up less messy than alot of celebs we know. I am not sure who to praise for that.
Body: Yes, I agree, I have heard him speek in interview settings and handles them usually very well. I skimmed across some recent headline but I didn't get the specifics. It read something like "Moore doesn't give the named health sources in Sicko the chance to reply". That's no surprise. With many of his films, I wonder if people he offends could sue for defamation or slander etc? I know he was in Michigan for his premere, but even though he sports a Michigan State cap often, he resides in New York.
I skimmed across some recent headline but I didn't get the specifics. It read something like "Moore doesn't give the named health sources in Sicko the chance to reply". That's no surprise. Body: That is terrible! I guess it is almost expected that some of these demanding people are used to unacheivable expectations? I am surprised, the bride didn't want you to make her look like she was getting married at a villa in Italy (you know just cut out any real surroundings) and change the officiants' hair color because they didn't like it.....Ok, enough sarcasm, but would you like to share some good experiences in the business? Congrats on your above awards. Did they come with any cool perks? I personally would love any experiences that would educate me on Hawaii (since I have never been there). I have been reading about your documentary work.Oh, and on the Paris side of things, I guess she also sought some recent Hawaiian magic. Her little trip is over, I guess we will see if she resumes her regular activities.
Body: So now the handbag issue is dirt under the rug...but sounds like she may be dragged into divorce court as a witness. She apparently has angered the "ex" due to recent dates with Criss Angel (star of Mindfreak /illusionist). Cameron has responded that Criss and his ex had apparently been separated for nearly a year prior. With so much infidelity going on in Hollywood, this instance seems somewhat more tame. I mean, hopefully the ex couple can settle up and Cameron can find herself some new "Justin"- they did seem to be so happy, didn't they?
Body: Person: Michael Moore, Greatest Work: Sicko, Fahrenheit 9/11, Roger & Me, and others Gossip: So I know there are blogs out there about Sicko (including some interesting blogs here on spout- check them out) but I am opening the floor here for additional talk. I personally have not seen it yet, but likely will not. I was going to stay clear from a post that included someone so controversial (I love to problem solve and dislike personal debates). However, I thrive on reading and observing debates. Just as long as the extreme liberals don't threaten the extreme conservatives here, then let's hear it. A few tidbits I ran across, besides of course Moore being from my home state of Michigan and ruffling many feathers about health care (which is sort of my expertise), has been recently dieting. He has been trying "things called vegetables" (per his own report and phrasing) and has lost ?20-30 pounds since filming Sicko. I am not sure his motivation (his mind is unpredictable and he did not include this in his conversation about the weight loss). He also both jokingly and sarcastically praised Larry King for bumping his interview for Paris Hilton (I am trying so hard to withhold poking fun). He also was shunned from an interview that was supposed to happen at the NY stock exchange. I didn't get any info on any specific person he ticked off there. Any takers on discussion? Anyone know the details of just how much could come out of his newest legal troubles while filming in Cuba? Also, this is a little behind the times, but I didn't know he is an active NRA card holder but apparently only joined so he "could become president and dismantle the organization" (I did know of his voicing gun violence opinions). HUM>>>Here's a thought for you all. How many enemies or friends would we have (whether you are right wing, left wing, middle wing etc) if he drummed up enough $$$$$ and support to hold a position in our government? Yikes, judging by the reponses I've read about most of his interviews, work and so on, he sure can strongly bring out the fire in many.
Body: As you mentioned in an earlier post, Lindsay looks worn in most of her recent pics, even those supposedly sober. Hanna Montana (nice name) really plays up that she doesn't want to end up like Lindsay. I wonder if this upcoming excessively rich younger generation really would learn (even one of them) or is it all just public "hoopla" to add to their own fame. I know I have also posed this question previously, but it is a recurring thought.
