Plot: Robin Williams learns that keeping in touch with his children can be a drag in this hit comedy. After throwing an elaborate and disastrous birthday party for his son, Daniel's wife Miranda (Sally Field) reaches the end of her patience and files for divorce. Determined to stay in contact with his kids, Daniel learns that Miranda is looking for a housekeeper, and with help from his brother Frank (Harvey Fierstein), a makeup artist, Daniel gets the job disguised as Mrs. Iphegenia Doubtfire, a stern but caring Scottish nanny. Daniel pulls off the ruse so well that neither his ex-wife nor his children recognize him, and in the process, he learns how to be the good parent he should have been all along. But would you believe it will be a dark comedy in which Williams’ son dies in “an apparent autoerotic accident”? What if I told you Bobcat Goldthwait is the writer-director? Danny DeVito, who also had the honor of directing Williams in an audience-limiting black comedy, will make up the difference here by helming the young-adult-geared period piece The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle. Morgan Freeman, Pierce Brosnan and Atonement’s Saoirse Ronan star. Speaking of Father’s Day, once-huge screenwriting duo Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel are the latest to rework Touchstone’s Charlie Kaufman-by-way-of-Zach Helm-wannabe reflexive musical Bob: The Musical. Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards is on the fast track towards its eventual post-theatrical Showtime run with trade-reported rumors that Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio could costar. Body: i guess you truly like peirce almost from the beginning of his popularity,remington steele;He is a very versatile and handsome actor . your right about that ;I myself started liking him for a lot of his movies starting with (1989), Live Wire (1992) which i just saw a few mths.ago;He has many roles like the heist that i like:The Thomas Crown Affair (1999), The Tailor of Panama (2001) The Matador (2005)and then there are roles where he plays the other guy love interest that the girl is not into anymore,ex,the other suitor but not the main squeeze: Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)the first movie i saw him that i really took notice of him,his breakthrough role for me(maybe ,cause,the movie was generally pretty funny), Love Affair (1994)love this movie, The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996)love this movie too!! ;i am a sucker for the romanticsRobinson Crusoe (1997)castaway meets and befriends a native;pretty good underrated movieEvelyn (2002)him as a father, trying to get custody of his child through the irish catholic school system;such a sad movieLaws of Attraction (2004) him buffing heads with another headstrong lawyer with opposing views and representing the opposite of his client(yet at the same time his falling in love with the opposing party);reminds me of 2 other movies, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)and ofcourse a james bond movie:Die Another Day (2002)i liked this bond the most,maybe its alittle more recent,he starts not too cool looking and then gets all dollied up, he doesn't play with too much women and the women(halle berry ) are just as strong and capable as himsorry about the extra white space in these message;i do not know how to take it out
