Body: You could check out our group's lists. They are divided into different genres and have a lot of anime in them, so they would probably be very helpful to you. As for my personal recommendations, my favorite titles include Fullmetal Alchemist, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Ouran High School Host Club, Wolf's Rain, The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Mushi-shi, and Kashi-mashi. I would also recommend watching any of Studio Ghibli's films. I can make many more recommendations if you'd like, thought I'd just give you a few to start you off though. :)

Body: I feel that subs are better because in most shows they take out the most violent parts when they dub them and it screws up the entire series makin people think that its just a little kid show with no violence or any adult humor at all
