Title: Paradise Kiss [Anime Series]
Year: 2005
Plot: Yukari doesn't have much in her life besides schoolwork. The pressure from her mom and dad to get into a good college keeps her from doing much besides homework and complaining, but that all changes when she's spotted on the street by a young punk who thinks she should be a model. As it turns out, he goes to a high-school for young designers and he and his friends need someone to model their new clothing line, Paradise Kiss. Suddenly, Yukari has found something she is good at, and has a real direction for the first time. The interest in fashion rubs off on her, and with her new friends by her side, Yukari decides to pursue a career that revolves around her new talent. But is it really fashion that's driving her, or is it the crush she's developing on the team's lead designer, George? ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
Body: So, what are some of the saddest anime you've seen? I think Grave of the Fireflies is going to be a given here, but what other anime makes you sad? Some of the sadder ones I've seen are Fullmetal Alchemist and Wolf's Rain. Cowboy BeBop gets pretty depressing towards the end, and Paradise Kiss has a really sad ending too. Personally, I like watching sad anime better than comedies (even though the comedies are still very good and entertaining), just because their plots always seem a lot deeper, and it's easier to get caught up in them and relate to their emotions. So, what do you guys think?
Body: I feel that subs are better because in most shows they take out the most violent parts when they dub them and it screws up the entire series makin people think that its just a little kid show with no violence or any adult humor at all
Body: I have a couple of the Fullmetal Alchemist soundtracks. The music is really good, but most of it's sooo depressing. As for favorite openings/closings to series, there are so many good ones. I love all the Fullmetal ones, Catch You Catch Me from Card Captor Sakura, Life is Like a Boat from Bleach, Ride on Shooting Star from FLCL, Lonely in Gorgeous from Paradise Kiss, Sakura Kiss from Ouran Host Club, Cyclone from Romeo X Juliet, Mask from Sorcerer Hunters, and of course many many others, those are just a few I could think of off the top of my head. I also love the theme songs as well as all the scores from Revolutionary Girl Utena. I'd like to get the soundtrack from that some day, the music is so beautiful.
