I liked it a lot, but I could understand how for a lot of people there just isn't enough to get into it. Or maybe I just haven't seen enough from this genre and there really is a lot better out there.

The only other anime series I'd seen before that was The Slayers which I had watched all on downloaded video files. I know some people who hate it just because of the way it ends. It get's incredibly weird in just the last episode or two. And the ending is rather abrupts and unsettling. I guess what is the ending of the anime series was just a wild turning point in the manga, but not the actual end of the manga. They never were able to make any more anime about the rest of the manga. Still, an amazing series that I would recommend.Wolf's Rain is HIGHLY recommended as well.
